Natural Remedies for Peeling Skin Around Nails in Cold Weather

The peeling of skin around nails in winter is a common problem. The main reason for the peeling of skin around nails in winter is the lack of moisture in the skin. In cold and dry weather, the amount of moisture in the air decreases, due to which the moisture in our skin also starts decreasing.

Cold air in winter draws moisture from the skin, due to which the skin becomes dry and weak. Also, washing hands repeatedly with hot water in winter removes the natural oils of the skin, due to which the skin starts to become dry and cracked. Apart from this, using the heating system in the house or office makes the air even more dry, which has a bad effect on the skin. But you can cure peeling skin near the nails with easy remedies at home.

Coconut or olive oil

The main reason for peeling of skin is lack of moisture, so in such a situation, you can use coconut oil to moisturize the skin. Massage the skin around the nails with coconut or olive oil. It will provide moisture to the skin and remove dryness of the skin.

Honey and Sugar Scrub

You can also get rid of the peeling problem with the help of scrubbing, in which honey and sugar scrub will help you. Make a scrub of honey and sugar and rub it slowly around the nails. This will remove dead skin and make the skin soft. Sugar scrub can be used to get the natural glow of the skin.

Soaking in lukewarm water

You can also avoid peeling the skin with lukewarm water, for which you can soak your hands in lukewarm water for some time. Keep the hands immersed in lukewarm water for 10-15 minutes. After this apply moisturizer. This softens the skin and reduces dryness.

Use of moisturizer

If you do not use moisturizer regularly in winter, the skin can dry out quickly and the skin around the nails starts peeling off. Apply a good quality moisturizer around the nails several times a day, especially after washing hands. Take a few drops of vitamin E oil and massage around the nails. This helps the skin heal quickly and retain moisture.

Wear gloves at night

When you are going from here to there in winter, be sure to wear gloves on your hands so that you do not catch cold and the skin around your nails also remains safe. Also, wear cotton gloves after applying moisturizer or oil at night. This will keep the moisture in the skin for a long time.
