Class 9 Student Committed Suicide Due To Mobile in Chhattisgarh Addiction: A case of suicide of a 14-year-old student studying in class 9 has come to light in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. According to media reports, the angry student took this step after the mobile was snatched by the family. The name of the deceased student is being told as Angel Jaiswani.

After the student committed suicide, her family said that she used to spend a lot of time on her mobile. The student's studies were also getting interrupted due to using the mobile.

On December 15, when the family asked the student to study and snatched the mobile, the student got very angry due to this. Later, the student went to the room and committed suicide by hanging herself. After this entire incident, the family immediately took the student to the hospital, where the doctors declared her dead.

How does phone addiction affect the mental health of children?

According to the doctor, smartphone is an important part of our life. Children use mobile phones to watch videos, play social media, and play games, which entertains them. Parents get free time when children use mobile phones, but when children get used to it, it starts affecting their ability to think and understand.

1. Ability to concentrate is low:

Due to the excessive use of mobile phones, children have trouble concentrating on their studies and other things. This happens because children's attention repeatedly goes to mobile notifications and gaming pop-ups.

2. Cause of stress and anxiety:

Due to mobile addiction, children are at risk of stress, anxiety, and depression. Excessive use of mobile phones by teenagers leads to depression and even suicidal tendencies.

3. Sleep disturbance:

Children's sleep is affected due to excessive use of phones. If children play games or watch videos on mobile phones before sleeping at night, then it causes trouble in sleeping. Due to this, children's dreams can also be interrupted.

4. Irritability:

Children who spend more time on games and social media on the phone can become more aggressive and irritable. They start getting angry and shouting over small things.

5. Reduces cognitive ability:

Mobile addiction disrupts family dynamics and reduces cognitive abilities. It weakens their social skills and they start feeling lonely.
