What is Anemia:
Lack of blood in the body is called anemia. Hemoglobin is a component in our body that represents the amount of blood in the body. It should be between 12 to 16 percent in men and 11 to 14 percent in women.
It occurs when the rate of destruction of red blood cells or cells in the body's blood exceeds the rate of their formation.
Anemia is common during puberty and during the menstrual cycle in girls.
